2. These Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of our website and to every purchase you make from us. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy, which form part of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.

If these Terms and one of those policies differ, the policy applies to the matter it specifically deals with, and any conditions stated with an offer apply to that offer.

These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not require a physical or digital signature.

3. Who can buy from us

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law to place an order. Our products are sold for personal use in India. For bulk, salon or professional grooming purchases, please write to hey@louboolabs.com.

4. Your account

You may check out as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Please tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. The details you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.

5. Using our products safely

LouBoo Labs products are grooming and skincare products for dogs. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Before use, please read and follow the label, warnings and directions provided with the product. If anything on our website differs from the label on the product you receive, follow the label.

  • For external use on dogs only.
  • Check the full ingredient list on the label before use, especially if your dog has known allergies or sensitivities.
  • Patch test on one paw 24 hours before full use.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes and the inside of the ears. If contact occurs, rinse well with water.
  • Stop use if you notice redness, irritation, swelling or discomfort, and consult your veterinarian. Please also let us know at hey@louboolabs.com.
  • Consult your veterinarian before use if your dog has open wounds, broken skin, an active skin infection or a diagnosed skin condition, is pregnant or nursing, or is a puppy under 12 weeks of age.
  • Store as directed on the label and do not use after the expiry date.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest. If swallowed, seek medical or veterinary advice.

Our products and the information on this website do not replace advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified veterinarian. If your dog has a persistent skin problem, please see a vet. Grooming tips, articles and other content on our website and social media are for general information only.

If we issue a safety notice or recall for a product, please stop using it and follow our instructions. We will offer a replacement or refund for any recalled product.

6. Product information and claims

We take care to describe our products accurately. Product images are for illustration; packaging may vary slightly between batches. Colour, texture and fragrance may also vary slightly between batches; minor variations of this kind are not a defect. We may update formulations and packaging from time to time, and the label on the product you receive shows its current ingredients.
Where we refer to clinical evidence, it means the following:

  • “Clinically proven actives” refers to published scientific evidence on the individual active ingredients we use, rather than on our finished products.
  • Clinical results shown for The Skin Barrier Serum come from in vitro laboratory testing on reconstructed human epidermis under an OECD protocol. They were not obtained from testing on dogs.

Results can vary from dog to dog, and we cannot guarantee a particular result for your dog. If a product you receive is not as described on our website, you are entitled to a remedy under our Returns & Refunds Policy.

7. Orders

Product listings on our website are an invitation to buy, not an offer. When you place an order, you make an offer to buy the product. You will receive an order acknowledgement by email or message; your order is accepted when we dispatch it.

We may decline or cancel an order, in full or in part, if a product is out of stock, your pin code is not serviceable, there is an error in the price or product information, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If this happens, we will tell you and refund any amount paid in full within 7 working days. We will not charge you any cancellation fee in these cases.

We may limit the quantity of a product per order or per customer.

8. Prices

All prices are in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of all taxes. The MRP is shown on each product page. Any shipping or cash on delivery charge is shown separately at checkout, and the total amount payable is displayed before you confirm your order. We do not add charges after you confirm.

Prices may change from time to time. The price that applies to your order is the price shown at checkout when you place it.

9. Payment

You can pay by UPI, debit or credit card, net banking or wallets through our payment partner GoKwik, or by cash on delivery on eligible pin codes.

Card and bank details are entered directly with our payment partner. We do not see or store your full card or bank account details. For cash on delivery orders, please pay the courier the exact amount shown on your order confirmation.

If your account is debited but your order is not confirmed, the amount will be reversed by our payment partner or your bank within the timelines set by the Reserve Bank of India. If you have a problem with a payment, please contact us first so we can resolve it.

If cash on delivery orders are refused at delivery without a valid reason, we may disable cash on delivery for future orders from the same account, phone number or delivery address.

10. Shipping and delivery

We currently deliver within India to serviceable pin codes. Orders are usually dispatched within 2 working days and delivered within 7 working days of dispatch, depending on your location. You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.

The estimated delivery date is shown at checkout or in your order confirmation. If your order arrives later than that date, you may request a full refund under our Returns & Refunds Policy, unless the delay was caused by an event outside our reasonable control (see clause 20). You can refuse the late delivery, or accept it and return the product unused and in its original packaging within 48 hours of delivery.

Please ensure your delivery address and phone number are complete and correct. If we cannot deliver your order because these details are incorrect or incomplete, no one is available to receive it, or delivery is refused, the order will be returned to us and cancelled, and we will refund any amount paid. We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete details.

Ownership of and risk in the products pass to you when they are delivered to you. Delivery to the address you give us, including to a person at that address who accepts the package on your behalf, counts as delivery to you.

11. Cancellations, returns and refunds

You can cancel an order free of charge any time before it ships. Returns, replacements and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy. In summary:

  • Wrong, damaged, leaking, faulty, expired, empty or not-as-described products, and missing items, can be reported within 48 hours of delivery for a free replacement or full refund.
  • We do not accept returns for change of mind. For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or used products cannot be returned except in the cases above.
  • Damage caused after delivery by misuse, accident or improper storage is not covered.
  • Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days of verification to your original payment method, or to your UPI ID or bank account for cash on delivery orders.

12. Offers and discount codes

Offers and discount codes are subject to the conditions stated with them, including validity dates and minimum order values. Unless stated otherwise, only one code can be used per order, codes cannot be exchanged for cash, and they cannot be applied after an order is placed. We may change or withdraw an offer at any time, but this will not affect orders already placed. If you receive a refund for a product bought with an offer or code, the refund will be the amount you actually paid for it. If an offer is misused, we may cancel the affected order and refund the amount paid.

13. Reviews and content you share

When you post a review, rating, photo or other content on our website or tag us on social media, you confirm that it is your own genuine experience, that you have the right to share it, and that it does not contain anything unlawful, misleading or offensive. In particular, your content must not:

  • be fake, or be posted in return for payment, a free product or any other benefit unless you clearly say so in it;
  • include anyone else’s personal information, or photos of other people without their permission;
  • be defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful or harmful to children, or infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights; or
  • impersonate anyone, include AI-generated or altered images presented as real, contain viruses or harmful code, or otherwise break any law.

Reviews reflect the personal experience of the people who post them. They are not our views and are not veterinary advice.

You allow us to display and share that content on our website and marketing channels, with your display name, free of charge, and to resize or crop it to fit. We will not edit your review in a way that changes its meaning, and we may remove content that breaks these Terms. If you tag us on social media, we may reshare your post using that platform’s own sharing features, and we will ask your permission before using it in any other marketing. You can ask us to remove your content at any time by writing to hey@louboolabs.com.

14. Intellectual property

The LouBoo Labs name and logo, product names, formulations, packaging designs, photographs, videos, text and all other content on this website belong to LouBoo Collective Private Limited or its licensors and are protected under Indian law. You may use the website for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or use our content or trademarks without our prior written permission.

15. Acceptable use

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • break any law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
  • provide false information or impersonate another person;
  • misuse our offers, discount codes, returns, refunds or cash on delivery, including by creating multiple accounts;
  • interfere with the website’s security or operation, or introduce viruses or harmful code;
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access or copy the website;
  • buy products for unauthorized resale.

We may suspend or restrict access for anyone who breaches these Terms, and cancel their pending orders with a full refund of any amount paid.

16. Messages from us

We will send you messages about your order, delivery, returns and account, and any safety notice or recall for a product you have bought, by email, SMS or WhatsApp. These are necessary to fulfil your order and keep you informed. We will send marketing messages only if you have opted in to that channel, and you can opt out at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

17. Beware of fraud

Fraudsters sometimes pose as brands to trick customers. LouBoo Labs will never:

  • ask for your OTP, card PIN, CVV or banking passwords;
  • ask you to pay into a personal UPI ID or bank account, or through a payment link not sent from our website;
  • ask you to install an app or share your screen;
  • charge a fee to process a refund, prize or offer.

If you receive a suspicious call or message in our name, do not share any details or make any payment, and report it to hey@louboolabs.com. We are not responsible for losses caused by people falsely claiming to represent LouBoo Labs.

18. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for defective products.

Subject to that, our total liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity, as our products are sold for personal use only. We are also not liable for any harm resulting from:

  • use of a product contrary to its label, warnings or the directions on our website, including not carrying out a patch test;
  • misuse, alteration or improper storage of a product, or its use after the expiry date; or
  • your dog’s individual allergy or sensitivity to an ingredient listed on the label.

19. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for any loss we suffer as a direct result of your fraud, your misuse of the website or our offers, your unauthorized resale of our products, or content you post that infringes someone else’s rights.

20. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemics, war, riots, strikes, government restrictions, cyber-attacks, or widespread disruption of courier, transport, telecommunication or payment networks. If such an event affects your order, we will tell you, and you may cancel for a full refund.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your right to approach the consumer commissions under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the website.

Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact our Grievance Officer so we can try to resolve the matter.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, our Grievance Officer is:

Every complaint receives a reference number. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receipt.

23. Our website platform

Our online store is hosted on Shopify. All sales are made directly between you and LouBoo Collective Private Limited, and Shopify is not a party to them.

Our website may link to third-party websites and services, such as our payment partner, courier partners and social media platforms. These are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, update or change the website at any time, for example for maintenance.

24. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to another company, provided your rights are not reduced.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. The Terms in force when you place an order apply to that order. If you continue to use the website after an update, you accept the updated Terms.
